There are minor changes on the course for 2025 when compared with the 2024's edition.
The MIUT 42 race will start at 11:00 a.m. on April 26, 2025 in Monte - Funchal. From there, runners will ascend to Chão da Lagoa, descending then to Chão das Feiteiras wehre they will join MIUT's 115 course.
The final stretch is primarily downhill, with passages through Portela and the scenic Larano footpath, connecting to the levada of Caniçal via Boca do Risco. The race concludes with a section along a levada leading to Machico, where the finish line awaits at Forum Machico.
